Day 1:
Transfer from Chandigarh Intl Airport to Manali
On arrival at Chandigarh – you will drive to Manali - valley nestled in the mountains of the Indian state of Himachal Pradesh near the northern end of the Kullu Valley, at an altitude of 2,050 m (6,726 ft) in the Beas River Valley. On arrival check-in at the hotel and relax. Overnight in Manali.
Day 2:
Explore Manali
This morning, set out to explore Manali. Perched at an altitude of 2050 meters above sea level and spread along the banks of the river Beas, Manali is literally the “Valley of the Gods”. Visit the Hidimba or Dhungri Temple. Erected in 1533, this temple is dedicated to the local deity Hidimba, wife of the Pandava prince, Bhim. The temple is noted for its four-storeyed pagoda and exquisite wooden carvings. Visit the Manu Maharishi Temple, dedicated to sage Manu. Later visit Vashisht Kund… Vaishisht, around 3 km from Manali, boasts a pair of old stone temples, opposite each other above the main square. The temple tanks are underground hot-water/sulfur springs. Thereafter proceed to the Tibetan Market, featuring shops that sell shawls, woolen clothes, handicrafts, imported goods and souvenirs. Overnight stay in Manali.
Day 3:
Explore Manali
Today, make a full day excursion to the Manikaran Gurdwara. Manikaran Gurudwara, held sacred by the Sikhs, is a popular tourist destination. According to the Sikh sources, Guru Nanak Dev once visited this place, accompanied by his disciple Bhai Mardana. The Janam Sakhi or the ‘Autobiography of Bhai Mardana’ mentions the various miracles performed by the Guru at this place. There is a hot spring which is used to cook some of the food for the Langar. One can enjoy a dip in the hot waters from the springs. There are altogether three baths, one of which is located under the Gurudwara itself. It is believed that by taking bath here and by drinking water of this place, people go to heaven. Manikaran hot spring is said to have Uranium and other radioactive minerals. Besides housing the famous Gurudwara, Manikaran has religious importance for Hindus too. As legend goes, Lord Shiva and Goddess Parvati went to Manikaran and stayed there for a long time. Interseting Hindu legends are associated with Manikaran. Return to Manali for overnight stay in Hotel.
Day 4:
Inter Hotel/City Transfer from Manali to Dharamshala
Breakfast at the hotel. Post breakfast check-out from the hotel and you will drive to Dharamshala – a beautiful hill station lying on the spur of the Dhauladhar range about 17 kms north- east of Kangra town. This hill station is wooded with oak and conifer trees and snowcapped mountains enfold three sides of the town while the valley stretches in front. The snowline is perhaps more easily accessible at Dharamshala than at any other hill resort. On arrival check-in at the hotel and relax. Overnight stay in Dharamshala.
Day 5:
Explore Dharamshala
Breakfast at the hotel. Post breakfast you will drive to McLeod Ganj –a well-known center for the Buddhist community. Long back in 1959, Dalai Lama, the prominent religious figure of Tibet visited Dharamshala. With his arrival, the place developed into a center of major Tibetan settlements. A number of religious educational centers sprang up at Mc Leod Ganj. Besides many rehabilitation centers soon grew up there. McLeod Ganj, being inhabited by exiled Tibetan, is full of Tibetan lifestyle and culture. A place ideal for chilling out and shopping, it offers everything to a tourist. Tourists can buy handmade shawls, souvenirs, pendants, and many other locally handmade products, available at reasonable price. The place has historical linkage with Buddhism and the same peace can be observed here too. Tibet Museum, Monasteries, Church of St. John and Cultural Museums are the centre of attraction of this place. Back to hotel by evening. Dinner and overnight stay in Dharamshala.
Day 6:
Inter Hotel/City Transfer from Dharamshala to Dalhousie
After Breakfast check out from Hotel and proceed to Dalhousie enroute visit local sightseeing Dinner and overnight stay in Dalhousie
Day 7:
Explore Dalhousie
Breakfast at the hotel. Post breakfast proceed for Full day sightseeing tour of city. You will be visiting Jandhrighat Palace, Subhash Bowli, Bara Pathar, Panjphulla, Subhash Chowk, GPO Dalhousie, Satdhara and the last but not least Old Churches of Dalhousie. Back to hotel by evening. Overnight stay in Dalhousie.
Day 8:
Transfer to Chandigarh Intl Airport from Dalhousie
