Day 1:
Arrival at Guwahati Airport / Railway Station and drive to Shillong
Transfer from Lokpriya Gopinath Bordoloi International Airport-GAU to ShillongAdd NoteUpon arrival meet our representative at the airport. After briefing the itinerary, drive straight to Shillong. En route visit Umiam Lake (Barapani Lake). UMIAM LAKE - a manmade lake which is actually a dam for Umiam river. It is spread over 220 square km. Activities like kayaking, water cycling, scooting and boating are available. Check-in hotel and after refreshment if time permits visit Cathedral of Marry. Overnight in Shillong.
Day 2:
Shillong Local Sightseeing
Explore ShillongAdd NoteAfter breakfast visit Mawsynram, which as per the new geological reports, receives the highest rainfall in the world. The area is known for its caves. Later visit Mawphlang Sacred Grove. It is one of the biggest Sacred Groves in Meghalaya. It is a well preserved forest by local community. Nothing can be taken out from the forest as this is being protected by the local deities. Visit Khasi model village. In the evening return to Shillong. Visit Elephanta Falls and Shillong Peak for some breathtaking views. Overnight stay at Shillong.
Day 3:
Shillong to Cherrapunji
Inter Hotel/City Transfer from Shillong to CherrapunjiAdd NoteAfter breakfast visit Mawlynnong Village the cleanest village in Asia. This cute and colorful little village is known for its cleanliness. It is situated 90 kms. From Shillong and besides the picturesque village, offers many interesting sights such as the Living Root Bridge and the strange natural phenomenon of a boulder balancing on another rock. After that proceed to Dawki, Dawki is along the Indo-Bangladesh border. You can enjoy boating in the crystal clear waters of the Umgnot River. Evening proceed to Cherrapunjee. Overnight at Cherrapunjee.
Day 4:
Cherrapunji Local Sightseeing
Explore CherrapunjiAdd NoteGet up early to enjoy the mesmerizing mornings of Cherrapunjee. Visit Eco Park, Dainthlen Falls, Nohkalikai Falls, Nohsngithiang Falls (Seven Sisters Falls), Mawsmai Cave, Thangkharang Park. Overnight stay at Cherrapunjee. Optional Activity- Proceed for a full day trekking to the Double Decker Living Root Bridge at Nongriat Village. Need to trek approx. 3200 steps each way to the Double Decker Living Root Bridge. We can further trek down to the Rainbow Falls which take about 60 to 90 minutes from the Double Decker Living Root Bridge.
Day 5:
Cherrapunji to Kaziranga
Inter Hotel/City Transfer from Cherrapunji to KazirangaAdd NoteAfter breakfast drive to Kaziranga. Overnight at Kaziranga. In Kaziranga to enjoy cultural show you have options, as some local youth organized Cultural show in Kohora in auditorium or open field and also you can go to Orchid And Biodiversity Park which is approx. 3 Kms far from Kohora(Main Market area). They usually organize 3 to 5 types of cultural dance along with famous Bihu dance. We suggest you not to MISS THE PROGRAM.
Day 6:
Kaziranga Local Sightseeing
Explore KazirangaAdd NoteEarly morning go for an Elephant ride (5.30 to 6.30/ 6.30 to 7.30). After the ride return to hotel for breakfast. After breakfast, you will be taken to the Central Range / Western /range for one round of Jeep Safari. Afternoon Orchid park visit Overnight at Kaziranga.
Day 7:
from Kaziranga to Guwahati
Inter Hotel/City Transfer from Kaziranga to GuwahatiAdd NoteAfter breakfast checkout and drive back to Guwahati. In Guwahati visit Sankardev Kalakhetra, time permits. Evening River cruise over Brahamputra (On direct payment Basis) Overnight at Guwahati.
Day 8:
Depature from Bagdogra Airport / New Jalpaiguri Railway Station
