Enjoy the panoramic tour of Langkawi from SkyCab. From the Base Station is conveniently located on foothill of the Machincang mountain. From here, visitors will be taken up to the cool Machincang mountain via the cablecar system. The ride will be an exhilarating experience for everyone to enjoy. You will also be able to catch a glimpse of the flora and fauna that surrounds the area.
The Cable Car system is the latest tourist attraction for Langkawi and is located at the Oriental Village, a theme shopping centre housed in 30’s individually designed buildings showcasing Malaysian and Oriental architecture. Langkawi Cable Car is located just north of Telaga Harbour, Pantai Kok, with the entrance within `ORIENTAL VILLAGE` - a theme shopping centre housing in 30 individually designed buildings showcasing Malaysian and Oriental architecture. It is located just north of the Langkawi International Airport, on the north-western coast of the main island of Langkawi. It is just an approximate 40 minutes drive from Kuah town and 15 minutes drive from Langkawi International Airport. ATTRACTIONS Base Station The Base Station is located at the Oriental Village (at the foot hill of the Machincang mountain range). From the base, visitors will be taken up to the Machincang range via the Langkawi Cable Car on gondolas giving the visitors views of the surroundings forests, the Telaga Tujuh (Seven Wells) waterfall as well as the sea. The cable cars are closed weekly for maintenance. Middle Station Cable Car Middle Station An intermediate Cable Car station on the eastern ridges provides access to the eastern cliffs with its 3 vertical chimneys and the 360-degree views. The journey from the Base Station to Middle Station will cover 1,700 meters in length and upon reaching the Middle Station at an elevation of 650m above sea level, visitors will be able to alight and walk up to the viewing platforms. Top Station Cable Car Top Station A short walk up the stairs from the Top Station will take visitors to the two viewing platforms at the top of Gunung Machinchang. A cafe at the Top Station offers refreshments and views with cool breezes, at 708m above sea-level is about 5 degrees Celsius (+/-) cooler than lowlands.

Crocodile Farm

Langkawi Crocodile Farm houses one of the largest numbers of crocodile and alligator species gathered together in the world. Here, reptiles range from newborns to world record-holders, including Bujang Kawi, the oldest croc born without teeth: he weighs over 454kg (1,000lbs) and is over four metres long. Also known as Taman Buaya Langkawi, the Langkawi Crocodile Farm is spread across 20 acres and situated near Datai Bay, just 32km north of Kuah. Nothing quite compares to an afternoon spent in the company of its MORE than 1,000 crocodiles: watching, feeding, and fearing these reptiles will make for an unforgettable day out and a trip here is practically a must.
One of Langkawi Crocodile Farm’s highlights is the feeding pond: here the crocs are fed in a controlled environment similar to their natural habitat. It is a hair-raising, graphic and exciting sight to watch the giant beasts lunge quickly, snap their jaws and growl deeply as they devour their meat. Daring croc fans can cross the bridge over a giant ‘pond’, where dozens of adult crocs lounge about on land and water. They move around with terrifying stealth and eerie silence which keeps the words of the croc trainer-on-duty ringing in your ears – ‘Hati-hati, nanti jatuh kalau terlalu dekat’ (Careful, don’t lean too far over the railing or you’ll fall!).

Island Hopping Tour

The Langkawi Island Hopping Tour takes you on a journey to explore Langkawi’s most illustrious islets. First you’ll be taken to visit verdant ‘Pulau Singa Besar’ – Big Lion Island; the boat stops just shy of the shores and you’ll get the chance to watch the king of the skies – eagles – as they soar overhead. Observe as they dive to catch their prey, chicken bits that the boat driver has thrown into the water, with deadly precision – it’s a great photo and video opportunity. Next head on over to Pulau Dayang Bunting – the silhouette of the pregnant maiden from a distance is truly awe-inspiring; meanwhile the Lake of the Pregnant Maiden – overflowing with supposed ‘magical’ waters is another breathtaking sight. Relax on the adjoining buoys on the shores, dip your feet into the waters or splash and swim around in the enclosed sections. The day ends with a visit to ‘Beras Basah Island’ – or Wet Rice Island – another pristine Langkawi beach with clear waters and far-reaching views of the sea where you can relax and soak up the sun and sea after a day spent trekking up to the Pregnant Maiden Lake and feeding the eagles.
